Frank Coleman

Frank was born on April 17, 1927 to John and Elizabeth Bokis Coleman in Carolina, West Virginia. He came with his family to Vale in 1930 and then to Harper in 1931. He attended Harper School. In June of 1949 he married Glenna Murdock. They moved to Cottonwood Ranch in 1950 where they raised three children, Donald, Debbie, and Diane.

Frank enjoyed his life of farming and ranching in the Harper Valley. In his younger years, he was a quick baseball player and known for his short stop skills. Throughout his life he loved hunting and was a great shot. He kept up daily with the local news at Coleman Service. Frank loved spending time with his family and kids throughout Harper Valley knew him as Papa Frank. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend, and mentor to many. His gentle presence and quick wit will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Elizabeth; his two sisters, Ester and Dorothy; and three brothers, Bill, Johnny, and Joe. He is survived by his wife, Glenna; his son, Donald (Susan); daughters, Debbie (Rod); Diane (Albert); six grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
