GALLERY: Nyssa tennis court dedication

After considering doing away with the tennis program at Nyssa High School just 10 years ago, members of the tennis team joined school board officials to cut the ribbon and open the remodel of 7 tennis courts Tuesday evening. After the ribbon fell to the ground, the public was asked to grab a racket and hit a few balls on the new courts.

The new courts come at a cost of $330,000, money the district has saved over a number of years. The new courts are open to the public.
