CITY MANAGER
The City of Vale Oregon is recruiting for a City Manager. Vale is the County Seat for Malheur County with a population of 1865.
The City of Vale has nine full time and 40-part time employees with a 6-million-dollar budget. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, creative, proactive and forward-thinking visionary. The new City Manager will provide clear direction for staff. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work on a variety of complex issues while focusing on quality customer service.
Four-year college degree required, preferably in Public Administration or a related field, plus progressively responsible management experience including public relations, personnel management, budgeting, grant writing, project supervision, economic development/land use planning and intergovernmental relations.
This is a full time salaried position and applicants must be willing to attend public meetings in the evening several times a month and occasionally deal with the public after normal working hours when required.
Salary $65,000-$75,000 DOQ with excellent benefits.

LRC AIDE POSITIONS Vale School District #84 – Vale, Oregon, is seeking interested and qualified applicants for Learning Resource Center (LRC) aide positions. These positions are seven hours per day. Applicants should enjoy working with students with learning disabilities. Applicants interested in these positions must pass the paraprofessional test prior to applying. To make arrangements to take the test call, the Malheur County ESD, at 473-3138. The cost for this test is $25. A passing score is required to be considered for an interview.

The Malheur Enterprise newspaper, based in Vale, is seeking an enthusiastic, efficient person to join our team as business manager. The job starts at 16 hours a week, flex over 3 to 4 days a week, at $12 an hour.
The employee will post expenses and revenue, produce monthly billing statements, track ARs, communicate with clients, and work as a team with advertising sales staff, under direction of the publisher.
Requires basic bookkeeping skills, attention to detail, familiarity with QuickBooks, good communication skills in writing and online. On the job training provided. Eligible applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent; some community college or higher education and bookkeeping experience preferred.
