JORDAN VALLEY – The Jordan Valley High School will see five of its own depart as graduation ceremonies take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the high school gymnasium.

Leading the group will be valedictorian John Jett Echave, son of Jon and Tara Echave.

Echave graduates with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. He was active in football, basketball, FFA, National Honor Society, student government and trap shooting. He also participated in the town cleanup and helped facilitate the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the community.

Echave plans on attending Blue Mountain Community College or Eastern Oregon University after graduation to study business.

“I would like to personally thank everyone that has shown support not only for me, but for Jordan Valley High School,” said Echave. “Having this support really encourages us to strive for more.”

Joining Echave on the stage will be salutatorian Zoey Lora Warn, daughter of Carol Warn and Con and Gail Warn.

Warn ends her high school career with a 3.64 grade point average while participating in volleyball, basketball, National Honor Society and the Jordan Valley cleanup.

Warn plans on taking a year away from the books before entering Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada on her way to becoming a veterinarian technician.

Warn said she recalls fondly both the volleyball and basketball teams making the second round of the state playoffs her senior year.
