A 45-year old Boise man is in custody awaiting extradition to Malheur County on charges stemming from an armed robbery June 22 in Jordan Valley.

The Malheur County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident began when a man and a male juvenile stopped at Jim’s Shell station, asked for directions to California, and left. About 4:26 a.m., the duo returned to the station with the man wielding a pipe.

The man demanded money from the attendant on duty, striking the attendant in the arm. The assailant then took an undetermined amount of money from the register.

As he fled the station, the man smashed the glass window of the front door.

Malheur County Sheriff’s Deputy David Reed responded to the 911 call. As the direction of the duo was unknown, officials in Oregon’s Harney County and Humboldt County, Nevada, were notified.

Reed, along with Humboldt County deputies, conducted a felony traffic stop after the vehicle containing the subjects was located about a mile past the Nevada state border.

Lloyd David Tucker and the juvenile were taken into custody without incident.

Tucker remains in the Humboldt County jail awaiting extradition to Oregon on robbery and possible other charges. The juvenile was released to family members with no charges being considered against him at this time.
